Science HW Help!?

Gotta question for you guys out there...What is a change in an objects motion? Oh and What is the unti for speed..And what is the unit for acceleration.

Well, to change the direction of an object, you need a force greater than the momentum energy of the object. The change in speed and/or direction of an object is called acceleration, which you mentioned in the additional questions.

Speed is what they call a "scalar variable" and the scalar value of velocity is distance per unit time.

Since velocity is a vector (magnitude and direction), that would make acceleration a change of velocity. The scalar value of acceleration is distance per unit time squared.

I wasn't quite sure which way you were going with your question so I tried to cover it all. Of course, there is more to all of this but hopefully this helps out.

Brett, you're the teacher! Is the above right or have I forgotten this stuff over time?
