Man, what a beautiful ram! I have never even attempted to score one of those before so I really have no idea. However, if I EVER get lucky enough to draw a tag I'll get schooled up on pretty quickly!

He Dosn't carry the mass all the way down. I would say 5 or 6 year old and he won't break the 150 mark( way to thin , to far on the ends) & under 14 inches on the bases .

I would have to agree, he falls short of the 150" by just a bump. That is some cool footage though. :thumb

Everyone, thanks for your input. It has been a lot of fun finding these sheep. Those bigger ones have got to be somewhere. It's amazing how spooky they are. We had a hard time getting any closer than 200 yards without them taking off. It just might be quite the challenge with my muzzleloader. According to the Biologist, there are (1) nine year old and only (2) eights but a crapload of rams between 2-6. As you can see. I think this will be one heck of a great unit in about 4-5 years.

Would be cool to find one of those old boys Ridge. Seen one yet? But yea should be great in the time frame you said. How many tags they give out there each year?

Brett, this is the first year it will be hunted. They gave out (1) tag at the expo and (1) more to residents only through the state draw and I got that one. So there will only be two of us looking for the three older rams. Maybe one of us will cave to the pressure and end up taking a younger ram. lol

Thanks Ridge, don't cave unless you have to. lol

I would say that the biggest ram in the bunch would be in the mid to low 140's. He has great potential but needs a few more years. Best of luck to you and hopefully you find one of those older rams in the unit.

Those rams are all young rams, inlcuding the largest one. I doubt he's more than a 5 year old ram, and he's not going to make it to 150. He's got potential, but he needs to grow up to acheive it. He's light horned, small bases and thins quickly as he goes out. Length is probably around 28-30", and I doubt he goes more than 145 or so.

He'll be a nice ram some day, just not there yet.
