Got a chance to FINALLY get out this weekend. Found a real dandy buck, or at least I liked him. :)

Here is a decent buck 1st, looks like 4x2 right now. Should end up a 4x3?

Name him "BottleRocket" cause we found him on the 4th of July Weekend and he has 2 inline stickers on the left inside of his rack. Cool and unusual.

Nice photos....looks like you found a little hidey hole! "Bottlerocket" is a sweet trash buck. Got to love all those extras. He looks to be a shooter for sure. You need to send an arrow his way.
Those look like some dandy bucks! We didn't have a chance to look for the deer I have been watching, was hoping to check up on him this weekend but ended up going camping instead. On friday I took the day off and went and got my new truck :) :thumb
BOHNTR,
Good you checked back in! Looking forward to the end of the week, wyoming draw results should be posted by the 7th. Crossing fingers, toes and legs that I drew something. I still have back up plans if things fall through but it would be nice to draw something again this year. If nothing else at least a speed goat tag.
I wish I could and would love to. I figured with the wet spring/winter we would have some better horn growth and get some better bucks. Water and feed wasn't the only factor of course.
I did find what appeared to be some other Dandy bucks, some bigger than him. (not necessarily more points) but wider, taller, and deeper forks.
They were so far out, hard to tell though. ???
I tried to video them, but couldn't see much, other than potiential.
I hope to get some more footage/closer in a couple of weeks.
Wish me 4c
Then again, I'd rather film a buck and watch them. That way hopefully he'll return the next year even bigger for me to enjoy. I simply love trying to get close to them get pictures. :)
I'll try and keep "dibs" on this guy and hope to have him for your viewing pleasure when he is finished growing.

Oh, I'm still around. I like these types of posts (photos). Better than those childish type that was rampant a month or so ago on here. Seems much better now. =D>
Man, I hope you get drawn for your tag. We need some big ol' muley pics posted on here.
I'll be in Laramie next weekend for a short visit. I'll bring my camera and maybe get some photography action in. I'll definately enjoy the cooler weather.
Did it again this year!
Drew my first choice antelope tag, in and around Farson, Wyoming.
Drew my first choice deer tag, Area 86-87 same area as last season.
Drew second choice elk tag, late season cow tag up on Atlantic Rim. Not overly excited about that one but in order for the party application to work in Wyoming you must put in for the exact areas as the next person and so for our first choice we put in for bull tags up on the rim and my dad wanted to back that up with a later season cow tag, and that is what we drew.
Beggars can't be chosers!!!!! I haven't even had an elk tag in four years and the chance at another hunt with my old man, I couldn't pass it up.
Great buck, bout time you posted some mulies. :)
Does his back right side fork also. or is he a 3 on that side?
I like him, deep forks.
WYMULEYMAN,
Congrats on all the success, looks like you'll be having some fun again this year. Mulies, Antelope, and Elk. Does i get any better than that. :thumb
To put my excitement into words, let me say this; last year when I drew my 86-87 deer tag I didn't sleep for days because of the pure excitement. And now this year I have the thought of chasing some prarie maggots and chasing deer and then to top it off with chasing some elk. I don't think it gets any better than that. Add to that I get to do it all with my Dad. Going to be my best season yet! I have been pretty much putting in for antelope, deer, and elk every year since I was 14, so that is about 13 years and this is the first year wyoming did me real well. Not just one, or two, but three limited quota tags. Just bought my new truck last friday, I will tell you this past week has been super good to me.
Good for you pard. Spending time in the woods with family & friends is always a good thing.....especially when you have a bunch of tags! :)
Nice pics....and if I forgot to say it when you arrived....welcome.
Man I'd really like to see him now, he'll look real good after the velvet is finished. Sorry guys, I tried hard. :)
Maybe next time.
