Second Amendment Victory in San Francisco

When the city of San Francisco tried to ban all handgun ownership a few years ago, the NRA took the city to court and won.

But that didn't mean San Francisco embraced the Second Amendment. They still did everything they could to obstruct law-abiding Americans from exercising their Right to Keep and Bear Arms.

Today the NRA has won another major victory.

San Francisco's Housing Authority has agreed to settle a lawsuit brought by the NRA against their ban on gun possession by all residents in public housing. This blanket denial of Second Amendment rights for lower-income Americans could not survive our challenge, even though a defiant Mayor Gavin Newsome said his ban would be "absolutely defended."

The NRA isn't through in California. We're challenging other gun control laws in the works, and we're assisting other cases working their way through the court system. In the meantime, congratulations to those living under the thumb of the San Francisco Housing Authority, whose constitutional rights are now restored thanks to NRA members like you.

The real problem with California is that the Californians are moving to other places and spreading their mindset. I know one guy here in Arizona who shot a burglar and has had no end of problems from it. He went outside in his yard and around the shed to get something and the criminal hit him in the head with a piece of angle iron. He drew his revolver and fired upward before losing consciousness. He was exonerated in the shooting but the judge in the civil trial put a $30,000 a year judgement against him for maintenance of the now crippled scumbag. :>/ I just took a CCW class (went with my wife so she could get hers) and now realize I really can't shoot or hurt anyone and not suffer some punishment no matter what the circumstances are. ](*,) So be aware, the infection is spreading.

Yeah, I know. I lived on the western slope for 10 years until I moved here 2 years ago. It's considerably worse here if you can believe that. ](*,) I moved to Colorado from Vermont where I grew up. It seemed that every fruit and nut case from the eastern seaboard bought a second home there then eventually moved there permanantly. They've been trying to close the rod and gun club where I lived down just by filing ridiculous law suits to financially ruin the club from lawyer fees. It's noisy and dangerous they say. The next 4 years is going to be a riot! ](*,) ](*,)
