Should I change my arrow weight?

Should I change my arrow weight? I drew a moose tag and feel that I have a good set-up for one. I have a short draw length 27'' I am shooting a 377 grain arrow at 280 fps = 66 foot-pounds of KE. I am using a 100 grain slick trick head (4 blade fixed) I am shooting this current set-up well, with no problems. Most guys that I talk to say not to worry about it, but my hunting parter thinks that I need something a little heaver. What do you think change a good shooting set-up for a 'new' heaver one? They say that 50-60 pounds of KE is enough for any big game in North America. What do you think?

If you put the arrow where it needs to go you'll have no problem killing a moose with your set up.
You already know how I feel, good luck, I hope you have a fun hunt and all turns out well. :arrow

The beast is dead.
Long live the beast!
If I remember correct you are using Slicks, Well I would tip that arrow with a Big old Snuffer. J/K I had to raz ya a little bit :)
You should be fine with that set-up, just put her in the sweet spot.
Good luck and keep us posted.
I was gonna post another pic of that toad Bull Moose thats on my Trailcam, but I know it will just make you lose more sleep.
Good Luck :thumb
