Single pin sight

I currently have a 3-pin sight and would like to change things up a little so I have a little bit more range with my bow. I have been looking at different sights and have to say the single-pin sights have piqued my interest. How many of you use/have tried the single pin sights? What brands would you recommend I look at while looking at them?

If you want to up your yardage just go to a 5 pin or 7 pin. But if your hunting out of a treestand or blind then it would be good to go with a single pin. If you have that then you can jsut adjust while you are sitting there that would be good. but if you are hiking and have to shoot at one quickly that would just be one more thing you would have to do by adjusting your sight.

Look at Montana Black Gold, either the Easy Glider or the new Ascent...Great sights, super bright pins and bullet proof. I've been shooting the Easy Glider for a bit now and like it... :thumb

How much distance does one need? How far is to far or unethical, plus not very often does anybody have time to dial it up to the right yardage when your animal is coming in.IMO multiple pin sights are the way to go. :thumb

I don't use it for distance shooting, was nice to have one (1) pin to focus on and more for Turkey hunting than anything else...The new one I have now, the Flashpoint HD.

I went to a BG Ascent because I wanted to dial the exact range of a target. What I do when I hunt is range the area I want to hunt, then set the sight for a good average distance, then shoot flat shooting arrows, currently Easton Lightspeed 340s out of a Reezen. It sure makes things easy when you are aiming at something because there is just one pin to look at, and other than that' your view is clear. I love mine, but if you want more pins in a slider config, BG will set up your sight any way you want it. So say you decide you want a slider with three pins, they will make it for you or you can find them built that way. The Ascent is the sturdiest sight for the $$ you can buy.
