Well I am finally back to work after my surgery. I will have my hard cast on for another two weeks then go into the walking boot for another month. So far I have lost roughly 20% of the mucsle mass on my right leg and only God knows how much strength. I have also lost strength in my entire body just from being unable to do anything.
I am starting to think it may have been a blessing that I didn't draw any tags this year. I'm doing my best to stay sane but it gets a little rough.
I will be taking about two weeks at the end of September/begining of October to get back out west and try to help my father in-law with his Antelope hunt and my buddy and his family with their mule deer hunts. I have a feeling my abilities will be very limited but at least I should be able to get some fishing in.

As you well know disabled vets are doing amazing things now adays. I think you may fit into the catagory of "I aint done until I'm through". As a vet you know the acronymn "FIDO".
You will be hunting next year at or near 100% and the rest of us will be back to being jealous of your trophies.
