Here is a picture of one of my great friends muzzleloader muley. I hunted for ten days and I never pulled the trigger although I could have. It was a good time!

Nice buck, you buddies with Paul K. also? Isn't this his friend he hunts with also. Recognize him from the videos it seems.
Don't know his name, but tell him to get on here and tell us about him.
You see any good ones? Just looking for a super buck I suppose...
Yea.....I've known Paul for a day or two.... :) .
I am brand new to this site. I am excited to be registered and finally get on here to check out this community.
Torch and I had an absolutely great hunt in Colorado this year. We saw some gorgeous country, experienced some wild weather and hunted some great bucks.
After hunting this area the previous year and doing my homework and scouting earlier this year. I decided that for 9/11 I would park a 4 wheeler at the bottom of the mountain and walk off the top glassing into different nooks and crannies on my way down the mountain. As I was coming off the top of the ridge, I glassed half a dozen deer around me and was walking off of one of those ridges that slowly curves below you so that you can't see more than 100 or so yards. As I was nearing a grove of quakies and pines, I jumped three deer out of their beds in the buck brush and knee high grass. 2 of the 3 bucks took off on a full on sprint for safety as the 3rd and biggest buck stood looking down the hill at his fleet footed friends. As he looked down the ridge, I had enough time to size him up, raise the Austin and Halleck Muzzleloader and squeze off a shot. Upon the trigger breaking I saw the smoke, a small flame out the barrel and hear the wack of a solid hit. The buck bounded down the hill to the grove of Pines and quakies where he stood at the edge of the grove for several minutes. After a couple of minutes, I knew I had hit him hard and wanted to leave him alone while he expired. I didn't want to push the buck.
About an hour and a half later, I came back to the area and I found him piled up only 5 yards from where I last saw him.
I was able to harvest this buck on 9/11/06. As Torch and I were packing this buck out of the hole that I killed it in, I couldn't help but think of that aweful day 5 years previous. It really added to the whole experience as I thought about our wonderful country and those that serve to protect our liberties and freedoms. A big "Thank You" to the Armed Services!!!
What a fun hunt. Here's some pictures of our outing!
Thanks Chris
