Some CA Mule Deer (pics)

I took my wife and grown kids up camping over the long Thanksgiving weekend up to the Eastern Sierras to enjoy the brisk outdoors and photograph some deer. I was a bit disappointed in the overall deer numbers and the quality of the bucks seen this year......especially with the amount of snow present. Having said that, I did get photographs on one really cool non-typical buck with 3 total drop tines and a lot of mass. Hope you enjoy.

Some other bucks I photographed that had less than desirable genetics.

Yup, he was anchored opening morning on the late season hunt. As photogenic as he was along with where he was made it inevitable.
