Son's CA Wild Hog

Took my son wild hog hunting with his bow and arrow last weekend here in the Golden State. He ended up arrowing his first hog ever at 30 yards. He made a pretty good shot, as one arrow is all it took. He was pretty excited after trailing the hog up!

Looks like the floppy hat gene wasn't the only gene passed along. Soon well have the mini-me version of Roy posting velvet antlered monsters just like his dad. Congrats to you and your boy. I've got about five years til my boy cant start drawing tags. It's defintiely something I look forward to.

Roy, Nice deer and great hog for your son. we'll have to get in touch and do some hunting this deer season. I have a few areas that ive hunted the last ten years and always produce decent bucks. Sometimes BIG ones. I'd Love to get a true Blacktail. What area in Ca are you?
