Southern Utah Bowhunting

I grew up in the St. George area and hunted all over southern Utah. Several years ago I moved for the military and haven't had the opportunity to go "home" and do much scouting. This year I am taking leave to spend some time bowhunting around St. George. In the past I always knew where the deer herds were this time of year, but I haven't a clue now because I am so far away. Can anyone familiar with the Southern Utah area give me any tips on where to find the deer this weekend. I am excited just to be able to hunt again after spending the last couple of years serving my country around the world. Any help would be grateful. Best of luck to all you archery hunters!

archerycrazy,

I live in St. George. Only problem is I just barely got into bow hunting. And have done very little around this area. I would imagine the deer are in the same places when you hunter here before. I don't mean that as an excuse not to tell you either. I haven't done a single day of scouting for Mulies this year, at least not on general hunting areas.

Deer on always on in the Pine Valley area, Pinto, Enterprise, Bumble Bee, Cedar Mtn., Beaver Mtn, etc.

Good luck and welcome to the FORUMS.

Thank you guys for the help. I'll try a few areas that worked good in the past. Good luck to everyone hunting in Utah tomorrow.
