Speedpro Arrows

has anyone ever tried these Arrows? i read an article that was braggin them up. said they would increase your spped by 30 FPS over other Carbon arrows the same weight. they have a stiffer spine to increase kinetic energy. sounds really good------- but maybe to good!

i found the link--- http://www.highcountryarchery.com they are a lot lighter arrows than comparable arrows from other companies but because of the higher grade of carbon and stiffer spine they are supposed to have lots greater penatration. i don't know bout that, sounds to good to be true! let me know what you think

well i got that but did they say any reasons? are they hard on the bow because their to light, are they inaccurate, did they not give the speed or penetration that the adds claim? i know absolutly nothing other than the advertizment, and we all know that dont mean much. if you dont mind maybe you could ask them what they were shooting at and how other arrows performed on the same target? i appriciate the input for sure! :thumb

looks like they don't hold up at all.come aparts after just a few shots.the way the one was blown apart I figure that is why the guy threw the other 2 away.

I think the heaviest speed pro's are only 6.2 grains per inch, they are basing the 30 fps faster claim entirely on the weight; at 6.2 gpi the total finished arrow is less than 300 grains, every bow company I know of has a 5 grains per pound minimum, for instance if you pull 70 lbs than you'll need to shoot nothing under 350 grains; in a nutshell, you really couldn't shoot these arrows any higher than 60 lbs thus defeating the purpose of going to such a lightweight arrow :>/

This is also why they don't hold up very well.

If you're looking for a good, stiff, lightweight arrow I'd recommend the Cheetah (Carbontech). The 55/80's are only 7.9 gpi and have a .300 spine. Best lightweight arrow I've found.
