Spook, the deadhead bull.

While my buddy Bill was out in the hills he met a guy who said he had found a deadhead bull elk but didn't want the trouble of lugging it off of the mountain. Later that day Bill introduced me to this guy and I asked his permission to go get it. He didn't want it so he told us how to find it. We didn't go that day because that guy wanted to hunt that area the next day and we didn't want to scare off any elk that might be in the area. So one thing led to another and we never made it back in there until a month later. On Halloween day we made the trip to get the Nevada deadhead named spook because it was Halloween.

We found it pretty easily. It was right where the guy said it was. Daisy first found the leg bones and I told Bill it was very close. About 20 yards up hill Bill hollered "Bingo!" And Spook was ours.

Daisy hung her head over the side of the truck all the way home. The bull was broken on the third and fifth on the left side and also broken on the long spike on the right side. Hope you enjoyed the pictures. fatrooster.
