Well, They are down to the last few days down here by me at Wichita, KS. 50-70% off. Today was the last day for firearms with what was left at 25% off. I really hate to see them go, they thought they were one of five stores that would end up coming back but were notified last Friday that no stores would make it back. (of those not sold or part of original reorganization plan)
I have picked up some real nice bargains along the way. Today I got a $300 kelty goose down bag for $100.00
Anyway, I hate to see them go. :>/

The ones here may as well be going out of business. I used to go into the Riverdale store three times a week looking for reloading supplies and the shelves never changed, always empty. I realize that reloading supplies are hard to come by, but I drive up the road a few miles to Smith & Edwards and at least their reloading supplies is hit and miss rather than miss miss miss... I used to love Sportsmans, but I dont even bother to stop anymore.

They are closing both here in Vegas. They have gotten me for almost a 1000 bucks in the last 3 weeks. I'm all set for Camo for a while. Got some Danner and Merrell hiking boots for 50% off. I was tickled about that. I hate to see them go. I wish I could afford the Bronze Muley out front. I heard the price dropped 50% to 7500 bucks. Sure would look great in my front yard.

sad time for alot of retail businesses indeed .but there is an article on sportsmans wharehouse web site that explains why the stores look the way they do right now and how they got to the point of closing stores down . the article is written by the ceo himself stu utgaard . in short the moves the company did before the collapse of aig , washington mutual , fannie mae , etc. and preferred shareholders exercising certain rights followed by the ufa mess . sportsmans wharehouse filed for bankrupty in late march . all of this hurts supply and demand from vendors . the article goes on to say that the company hopefully will be out of this mess in mid to late 2009 .
