That antelope in your avatar looks familiar. If I'm not mistaken, that looks like the P&Y 91 4/8 record. Is that by any chance yours?

That's what I thought! I've read the story in the 6th Edition P&Y record book from 2005.

The mount in the avitar is what caught my eye. It's a very unique pose and I recognized it instantly.

Congratulations Marvin on an excellent antelope. I've seen some awesome antelope in NV, and I've heard they've got some nice lopes in AZ too. Obviously it's true!

Nice job...

Sorry guys,

I haven't had a chance to check the site for a day or two because I'm re-wiring my home computer network to make it wireless... I will definitely try to get the story and some field photos posted in the next day or two. I also do some photography, and actually set-up the studio and took the photo of my buck's mount that is shown in my avitar. I thought it came out nice. Pope & Young made a poster a year or so ago that you can buy, featuring photos of all the world record mounts or horns on it. Most of the photos are in color, but for some reason they put mine on there in black and white (???) . They have the color photo on their website, but they have some corruption in several photos of the various world records, including mine, and they never seem to try to fix it even though I've ecouraged them to do so a few times....

Anyway, thanks for your interest. I'll get my act together soon and get it posted, I promise!

That is a very nice photo you shot of your mount, my compliments.

I think it goes without saying how tremendous your antelope is and I for one can't wait to read the story and see your field pics.

And lastly, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Brett,

What would be the best way to post the story and photos? Should I just post them on this or perhaps their own thread? Then, if you would like to copy them over and also place it in the "story" section of the site, you can do that if you are able? Thanks.

Marvin,

Yes a Record Antelope needs and deserves it's own thread. :)

And yep we can post it here to also, no problem.
