 All of these birds were on private property behind "NO TRESPASSING" signs. ](*,) I called in a nice Tom for my brother last week on public land.

Passed up some jakes myself. Plan on hitting the woods tomorrow in search of a longbeard, and taking my kids out Friday.

yep. i did shoot a jake this last weekend , if my father-in-law will send me some pics i will post em. but now i will hold out for a long beard with the second tag. they are fun and frustrating to hunt!

Nice post you take beautiful pics the spurs on the fourth pic are great do you have to draw in Oregon or are they over the counter for tags?

OVER THE COUNTER. YOU CAN KILL 2 IN MOST OF THE STATE AND IN SOME PARTS YOU CAN GET A BONUS TAG FOR A TOTAL OF 3 BIRDS

 These are Rio Grande's. We had some Merriam's in north central Oregon years ago, but ODFW has transplanted so many birds throughout the state I doubt if there's any pure bred Merriam's left.

I had to look up where Sandy was i spent a month in Hillsboro,Or. two years ago I don't think I ever saw a Turkey there the whole time. A good friend just moved to Tigard (not a hunter ) i think next year i will stay with him and try mu luck at some of those beauties you have
