SW Desert elk

I have a buddy that has a SW Desert late season bull tag and was wondering if any one has any ideas on were to look for some bulls. Ive been all over the far south end of the unit and seen a few elk but only seen one bull maybe 320 5x6. any ideas would be appreciated. thanks

Jackson's Wash will hold some good bulls. There are some good reseeds in those areas that we have seen good bulls in the past. I have never seen a 370+ bull in those areas but we have seen some really good ones. Find the water, find the elk, thats the secret out there!

our summer range is all over the jackson wash area i know of one bull about 320 ish and i am wondering if thats the one you seen. is it on the lone pine springs/bull spring turn off?right in that grassy meadow(thats part my uncles property and the rest is our summer range). my uncle shot a 360 off of there and seen a 400 around but it got outta there after the first day or two of the the early rifle. i seen some elk sign while riding through a burn up by butcher meadows and by sawmill canyon (the one south of the jackson wash)last weekend i did see one big bull track but never seen any elk.plenty of mustangs a nd a little buck. have not been up there a lot latley so that is all i know i understand some of the better ones come from the utah nevada border up closer towards hamlin valley.dont know that area to well but i know of a lot of water (pM me if interested) in the jackson wash area and the only thing i could suggest is sit the water cause its been dry up there for a while. wish i could help more sorry.
