Well not that nikon are bad optics but-------- there is no comparison!!!!!!!! two complete different quality of optics your talking about. a better comparison would be either SWAROVSKI OR LEICA now your talkin a close comparison.

Swarovski are the best optics I have ever looked through. Not only are they great optics but my EL's are so much more comfortable compared to any other pair I have tried. My Swarovski 20-60X80 HD spotter is unbelievable. Lots of good optics just choose whats best for you.

Agree with killerbee, those two optics are not even in the same catagory it like saying what is your favorite caliber 22 or 30-06, not even closely related.

For the price of the Nikon's you cant beat them, as for comparing the two it is not a fair comparison, you need to talk price range per price range.

I have both NIkon and Swaro and the Nikons are a awesome glass for the money but no where near the Quality.

When I am looking with my Nikon Spotter I can tell there is a animal, and when looking with my Swaro I can tell whether it is a Buck or Doe

You're kidding me right?? You think I'm going to side with you on this one. :)) :))

There is no comparision as already stated. "You get what you pay for" is a good quote here.

I don't own a spotting scope, so I didn't chime in. But I'm smart enough to know a better glass through reading and education.

no--- thats not what is being implied, your comparing a $1800 item to a $300 item. they are not even competing against each other in their marketing because they are trying to sell to totally different people!you might relate to this--- it's like comparing playstation3 to the original nintindo! no comparison :))

When I used other brands like Leupold and several of the other mid-level brands, I always thought that brands like Zeiss, Swarovski and Leica can't be THAT much better for THAT much more money. Now that I own two pairs of Swarovski, I realize I was wrong. I especially love my 10 x 50s, although they are pretty heavy to tote around.

"You get what you pay for" is exactly right. I can't afford Swaros but I have used them a little, they are awesome. If you can afford Swaros, by all means get them. If you can only afford Nikons or Leupolds, you will be operating with a handicap, there is a difference. I feel your pain, I can't afford the high end stuff either. And remember, the Nikons and Leupolds are way better than the cheap stuff.

All of the replies are correct you get what you pay for, when it comes to optics.
