Last night while over at my parents house, my sister (she is 16) informed us that she would like to try hunting and for here first species she wants to hunt antelope. It about freaking floored me, she took hunters ed for the gun safety, but has always said she never wants to hunt. Don't know what turned it around but we are excited.
Now for my question, if we put here in for a tag she has to buy the hunting liscense, so we were thinking that instead of puting in for the tag, that we put her in for bonus points and when she has a few points acumulated then we will put here in for the tag. That is if we don't have to buy a liscense.
Do you have to purchase the liscense to just put in for points?

Is Utah still OTC for antelope with a bow in some units?
DeadI if you ever get some interest in Wyoming let me know I will see if I can help you out.
Doe tags are $34.00 and your sister may qualify for a youth tag which are $19.00 for a doe and $110 for bucks

We will start putting her in. Still can not believe that she actually wants to, and with no presure from my or my dad. We can't wait.
I love hunting but if I did not draw this year, I was seriously looking at getting rid of many guns and taking up a new sport. Luckily I drew tags this year. After a few years without, you realize its not the end of the world and there are other activities that are just as enjoyable.
