the morrels are out !

i went out for 5 hrs this mornig and found 1068! ( yes, one thousand and sixty eight morrels :thumb )
probably found 100 that were already bad. so if your waiting to go find them, you better get out there!

well, the first thing that comes to mind, chicken?

morrels are awsome..dip em in egg, role em in ritz cracker, fry untill golden- nothing better!
or just sautah?sp?????? them in olive oil. great!

plus they sell for 15 bucks a lb and i found about 40 lbs today :)

By my calculations that's around 120 bucks an hour sounds like your sitting on a gold mine works kinda slow around here I might have to relocate and become a morrel farmer :thumb

I was out at a 3D shoot Saturday and picked up a few of the brain mushrooms! I haven't tried morrels, might have to go find me a few!

 i know, i need to find a good buyer.people get 30 bucks a lb if they find a resturaunt to sell them direct to, but should be able to get 15 a lb. but if you just sell to the low ball buyers i think they are getting 6 a lb. i do have a sweet spot that i think i could pick them like that for the whole season.
but this batch i'm just going to keep for my family :thumb
