Well, I went down to my local gun shop, yesterday. There is only one for miles. I was going specifically to look at a Super Black Eagle II. And I did see one, but before I could actually examine it... I heard this little voice... Paladin.
"What?
Hey Pal.
"Who is that?"
I'm over heeere, Pal!
There was some weird black magic going on! And when my eyes focused,,. It was like that love at first sight thing that only happens when you get old enough to go into a bar with a real Id and you stay too long. You guys know what I mean. I was positively enthralled! Completely gagga! A Browning Gold Hunter... need I say more?
Well, I will anyway: 12 guage, of course, fully rifled barrel, only shoots sabot rounds (just like the armor guys, kinda!!) Nikkon Pro Staff 3X9 scope! The only thing between me and her was $800. Who cares its only paper. I woulda signed another mortgage. A mound of paperwork. I didn't care, I've done a truck load of paperwork in my time, what's a little more. Two weeks of waiting. I'm patient.
And the wife (the former Drill Sergeant Emily Boyd! "Roh Roh, Scubby Doo" This could be an impediment. But the whole concept of a 12ga. rifled barrel that shoots monolithic sabot rounds is too cool to let slip from my fingers. What is 12 ga, in terms of caliber, about 68? Machs Nixt! I had to have it. I just had to!
I am faster with a credit card than Bob Munden! Although I'm sure that Bob wouldn't agree. But, now, how will I get this into the gun safe undetected and unopposed? Once its in the gun safe I'm home free. What have I gotten my self into. Well ok, I got a California mandated two weeks to think about it. And I'm pretty stealthy. And there is always a yard sale. Yeah, that's the ticket... a yard sale.
Oh, I almost forgot, what in the heck does a guy hunt with a short range scoped howitzer?

I hear that song a lot! I had that song stuck in my head over a full size gen 3 Glock 20(10mm.) All though this isnt an expensive firearm, I have always been drawn to it. All I can say is at least your not the only one enjoying the music. By the ways, I live in Ohio, and the only long gun that we are legally allowed to harvest deer with is black powder rifle or shotgun with slugs! You learn to appreciate 150yards:)

There's a SIG P220 Target calling my name that I don't really need. I can't seem to wear out the pistols I have. As for the wife, she could care less as long as it makes me happy. She loves to watch me shoot and video me. I'm semi-retired and don't want to work so much anymore so I don't really know what to do with the money I make, because my employer insists I work 50 hours a week. I complained and threatened to quit so he gave me a raise and a helper. Go figure! #-o Maybe I'll just buy some more long term storage food on case things go south. I'm a soft touch and am sure I can't bear to let my neighbors go hungry so I'll need more. They're even older than me and Social Security not being given raises is hurting them already.
