The spirit of the bowman

Took the kids up to ninemile canyon and saw this guy. Thought about what an awesome heritage we have as hunters as well as archers. Wonder what kind of hunt or shot inspired this guy to etch this image into the side of a rock wall centuries ago?----------SS

That's cool. You know some guy had a great hunt and couldn't wait to go post it up on the forums. As soon as he got home he broke out the hammer and chisel and told his buddies all about it.

I'll bet that guy never had to apply for years and years to finally get his sheep. What a difference that would be, most of us now live to go hunting, he went hunting to live.

Nice post, it is funny that we don't often look at that type of history in that light. Winmag hit it on the head, he surely had to hunt to survive and that instinct is still strong in some of us.

Hmmmm...... I wonder how far he shot? lol
