Wanna hear some real BS? The MT f&g just approved a plan to pay an out of state co to kill the deer here in Helena for $400 a piece instead of letting us locals pay them to do it.They just couldnt stand to see some of us get a crack at a big buck without drawing a special tag.i almost ran over a buck much larger than these 3 weeks ago right infront of my sisters house.I have seen WAY bigger bucks here in town than out in the hills of MT,go figure!

BTW that top buck is named Pete and i know exactly wich lawn he lays on every day, right under the peoples deck. :222

honestly . who would want a "crack" at some deer that live i town? you could put the new world record in my niebors front yard and i would give a rats -well you know- if i was the guy who shot it.
big deer living in town isn't un-heard of. but killing one of those same deer isn't hunting either. let some rich out-a-state hunter [ like the nevada and arizona gov. tags] pay to kill these pets! in the end they are just showing how much of a hunter they are not, and putting un-godly amounts of money into the hunting system! just my O.P.

Hmm lets see, they want TO KILL 300 DEER,$400 a piece, thats a whole PILE of money from our tag fees that could be poured into something productive like our block managment program that is going to an out of state co to come in and kill deer we would kill for free and enjoy eating. They are taking the money we hunters pay and expect to be used to expand our oopportunitys and pissing it away on this program, its a joke,I would rather they just leave the damn deer alone or relocate them to some are that needs them. :222

funny part about it is in my town we have a few little forkies maybe a little 3 point here and there running aroun town all the time. every year some idiot some idiot gets busted for trying to kill one :dumb if we had bucks like that floating around in town it would be a stinkin' mad house of idiots trying to stalk them in peoples back yards ](*,) ](*,)

i did missread this the first time , i didn't realize the state wanted to PAY money to outa staters to hunt them/ thats just dumb!

MuleyMadness
WOW!! Cool pics, I like that first one also.

NONYA, where are your pics of him? :)

HUNTIN FOR LIFE
i have an idea why dont the F&G transport those kinda bucks out into the Mt'ens cause they obviously have some good genes. well that would make since to me.
7
BOHNTR
I think they need to "hire" ol' BOHNTR to weed out those city bucks with my traditional gear........

NONYA
I thought about taking some but im not into houses for my backgrounds....I saw a gutpile and bloody drag marks in the snow on a local footbal field last fall,i think a few are probably gettin killed. The F&G refused to even consider relocating them for whatever BS reason IDK,we have good genes all over the state, problem is that a buck never lives long enough to show them with all the hunters who shoot 2 points and imature 4x4s. :222

Crazy crazy story, but awesome pics! :thumb

I'd have to agree with killerbee, these things are basically pet's, or the town mascot's, i couldn't be proud having one hanging in my house to look at everyday and remind me how hard i DIDN'T hunt for that 300" deer. (???)

This reminds me of the great buck that was killed at the mouth of American Fork canyon a while back in Utah County by the govenors tag holder. I'm sure all those little kids sleigh riding in December are still traumatized seeing that buck get shot right under their noses on that hillside. :nono:

Those are some awesome bucks i would love to shoot a monster buck like that first one but i would rather do it on the hill side :222

In town or not, they are still fun to look at.

Man that first one is a monster, cool pics!!

If its a choice between dumpin over 100,000$ to pay some out of staters to kill them with our tag $ or paying $10 to shoot em myself, thats an easy decision for me,that $ could free up several thousand acres of hunting land for everyone through block managment. :222
