This is what I've been doing with my free time.

I've been missing out on a lot of late winter Steelhead fishing, shed hunting, scouting, etc....and I wouldn't give it up for the world.
Again, yes I am a bragging father! My son started his second year of wrestling this month so I am spending the weekends traveling to tournaments again.
He is really picking up the sport quickly winning gold in the first two tournaments this Spring. He is undefeated thus far but the tournaments get a lot tougher from here. I don't expect him to continue to go unscathed but I am proud as heck anyway. Quite frankly, if he wrestles hard and enjoys what he's doing I don't care about his record or whether or not he medals. What I care about is his well being and whether or not he shows good sportmanship...and this far he's a winner in both catergories.

i was just checking this kid out last night
talk about an animal at 8 yrs old!
no better sport to get your kid into IMO. like you said, it teaches them to put 100% into anything they do ,PLUS sportsmanship!
very cool :thumb
Great thing to do in spare time.
Brian, I saw that video a couple days ago! INSANITY!!! To be honest, I think I'd rather see my little man toss in the towel than wrestle that little maniac at this point. Skylor has watched that video at least 20 times now though and LOVES IT. Maybe it will help to further motivate him.
All those things adds up to one heck of a young man with a great future!
We just got back from his third tournament of the Fall season and he did GREAT! He took the Championship again and had to wrestle his best friend for the title. He buddy Nate has wrestled for 3 years (Skylor's been wrestling for a year) and had beaten Skylor the previous 4 times they met in tournaments.
Skylor was losing 2-3 with less than 20 seconds left in the match before executing a beautiful double leg take-down and winning the gold!
Again, I couldn't be prouder...and was most proud of the way he hugged his friend after the win, making sure he was OK and then buying him a gatorade while they waited for the medal presentation.
