"443 Bull Photos"

LAST EDITED ON Sep-19-07 AT 04:42 PM (MST)

First off, The pictures of the 443 bull were not going to be posted yet because the hunter had asked that it not be posted. Thus, the reason I deleted the two prior cell phone posts. Obviously, a cell phone picture was surfacing and Doyle asked that a better picture be posted to do the bull more Justice. I will tell you guys that Doyle has given away prizes and been involved with contests on this site. It was the hunters and Doyles wishes that the photos be held until they could be placed in a magazine. Doyle conceeded and suggested that rather then have more people unhappy, he would just post the photos.

This is bull is one of 6 bulls grossing over 400" taken this year so far by MossBack. I am sure the rest of the photos will be posted on thier website from here on out.

This bull is pending #2 in the world. Its also potentially the new typical or non typical state record. It would depend on how it is entered.

Great bull, but I'd just as soon shoot a raghorn as spend that much money for a shot at a bull. It's really too bad that it all comes down to money, and those of us who can barely afford a tag in the first place will most likely never get a bull even remotely close to that. Sure there are decent bulls in this state for otc tags, but few and far between. Maybe i'm just a little bitter and wish Utah would come up with a more equal rights hunting system. Maybe i've just heard too many stories of hunters being chased off the mountain because the animal they are after is the same one some big guide or outfitter is after. I'm just tired of hunting spike only areas, and wont hunt an any bull area anymore because it's way too crowded. We just need a better system.
Sorry for the rant, and I dont mean to begrudge the hunter of his fine trophy. It's just when I hear of a guided hunt like this it hits a nerve.

For the average guy out there my sister drew the pahvant this year with just 8 points. I went down to help out on saturday and she shot a really nice 7 by 6 that went 383". Not bad for a girl huh? I haven't loaded my pics on the computer yet but I will. There is still hope for the average joe out there.

Great bull, no doubt! But I do understand we the Utah folks are coming from. Best advice I could give is get involved with the DOW and see if there's a way to change it.

Utah is not the only state that is looking at the $$$ to be made from high paying hunters. Look at some of the other western states. Colorado may not have the biggest bulls but you can draw AND have the best chance of filling your tag.

I have had several run ins with outfitters trying to keep the locals out of "their" area,AKA public land open to EVERYONE.I wont tolerate them any more and nobody should have to,call the fish cop, here in MT it is ILLEGAL to harass hunters in any way.Had one just THIS MORNING ask us where we had been hunting and then told us they had someone cut the head off a bull one of their clients wounded and they found 2 days afterward as if we might have had something to do with it.I made it very clear to him that I wasnt going to be nice and he left. They are used to running roughshod over people who dont want trouble,Im not one of those people,i stand up for my rights and I wil not be bullied by ANYONE.
