Thought I'd Golf a Bit

I found a golf ball the other day and threw it in the bed of the truck. We went shooting out in the middle of somewhere today and I found it in all the steel targets and trash. Seeing there's no chance of me ever being caught on a golf course I decided to push it into one of the cardboard IPSC targets. At ten yards I drew the 45 and hit it slightly off center on my third try. It went up on the hill. Way up on the hill. So between scenarios I'd look for it and finally found it and put it back out during the shooting for the 22's. I could draw and shoot it and it would go up onto the hill and roll back down the hill and I could shoot it moving which was a hoot! I've found my new love! Redneck Golfing! I stopped at Walmart and bought some new/used ones because we kinda wore this one out. Suppose I should get a funny hat and some shoes too. Maybe some plaid knickers? lol

A local black powder group in this area uses golf balls during some of their shoots. The balls are placed at a known distance. The shooter who gets the ball to travel the farthest wins. A variation is the shot gun start. Golf balls are tossed out onto the range. Everyone draws to see which colored ball is theirs. On command everyone fires at the same time. Its fun to watch all the balls take off (provided the shooter can actualy hit theirs). I have also heard of people throwing the golf balls in the air and shooting them with shotguns.

Looks and sounds like a good time, rolling back down the hill...how convenient. :)

I find it much hard to actually put that little ball in to a little hole on some very short grass.

Looks like I might have to change the way I play the game lol

 Yeah! Just be careful. Instead of yelling "FORE" You would have to yell "Is there anyone down range!!" :))
