tioga unit oregon

::wel I've never hunted that unit, i primarliy hunt the east side, just wanted to say hi a good to see another oregonian

Ive hunted the unit a couple of times. It should be called the Jungle cause thats what it is like. Very brushy terrain. There are some monster bulls in that unit tho. Alot of areas to hunt behind locked gates. Alot of access. Its tough to locate bulls in the rut during archery season because it is so steep and brushy. Ive had elk at 20 yards and couldnt see them.

thats for sure ive been hunting the tioga unit for 25 years, pulled alot of elk out of it, but its pretty rugged, thick, steep country but the elk are here. i pulled a nice bull out year before last, check out bragginbook.com for a pic. also gone a lotta years empty handed. thats the way it is.
