Trail Camera Setup

I am sure this question has been asked before but I could not find it in the search.
How is the best way to setup a Trail Camera on a trail?
I know 90 deg is bad. I have tried many angles but just can not get it correct. Most of the time I will get pictures when the deer is going one direction but not the other.
I have two Moultrie cameras.
Any tips would be appreciated.

But the one that I put on the trail is spotty at best. I have tried to point it one direction and then the other on the same trail. Usually the pictiures that I get is the approcing picture. I am thinking that I should be alble to place the camera to get pictures when they are comming or going.
I know that they are going both directions (tracks) why can't I get them going both directions. When I set the camera out I usually test it and get the same results.
It is just frustrating. ](*,)
