Two Elk 6 days

It started with my sister and my good buddy drawing limited entry elk this year. I went to work heavy from July 5 2008 until September 13th i was in the hills each weekend and every 4day weekend that was in between. We ended up on the first morning taking a very very nice 6x7 that scores over 350 my sister was very very happy with her kill. This was one of the bulls i had watched before the hunt. Then on the 6th day my buddy Roo killed an awesome 6x6 that scores 381. I had actually gotten trail camera video of this bull on July 16th and from then on i named him Tray's for obvious reasons. Anyway i can't even begin to tell you how much work went into these bulls, and how rewarding and fun it was at the same time. I hope you all enjoy the photos. Thanks sis, and Roo for the great hunt i will never forget. Also thank my Dad for teaching me the area where these bulls live, and being the toughest guy in the hills that i know. Yea that is him carrying the bulls head out. He is 52 way to go Dad.

Two beautiful bulls. I'm glad to see that all the hard work was rewarded. Your sis and your buddy are lucky they have someone like you to help them find giants like those two.

WOW, I'm impressed. Fantastic job to all involved, your sister is obviously one tough cookie herself.

Both those bulls are awesome and I"d be happy with either one, like the character and your sisters and yea those sweeping 3rd's are simply cool.

Nice elk. Thanks for posting pics that show the WORK involved in getting elk out of the woods. So often we are worried about 'what's it score' that we forget that when you shoot a 900# bull elk you dont throw a handline on him and drag him out like a PA whitetail. Sounds like ya had a great hunt.

you couldn't have said it better, i find myself worrying about score to much sometimes, i have to set back and think of the experience and memories that's what keep me going back and back.

Thx for posting post hunt pics, too often starry eyed hunters are not aware of the work involved once the big brown goes down. Dang nice bulls too. COngrats.
