using BDUs for hunting

I was wondering if anyone has used BDUs for archery hunting. I have a few old sets that I will probably use instead of spending the money on new sets of the digital prints

Deer are color blind...period. As long as there is no outline they can't see you. I've proven this to myself while wearing blaze orange.

Oh, and I have PLENTY of BDU's in both woodland and desert that I'm going to designate as my hunting clothes. Well, the britches. Gotta love the side pockets.

If you are military make sure they aren't shiny (starch and ironing ruin them for field use) and let them wrinkle. I used them for years.

They work just fine, Cabelas sells BDU style pants and tops in several good camo patterns and of course military color patterns too.

I think that camo is one of the most overated things in hunting today. Your BDUs will be fine. I would hate to guess how many animals I've killed while I was wearing brown Carharrt pants. Earth tones and limited movement are the key.

I figured as much. After all what did we do 20 years ago before all the digital prints. M Gardner I never would have thought about the shiny issue but rest assured I'm not spend the time to get my creases in and my wrinkles out.

Wore BDU's for a long time, both in the service and for hunting early on...About the only thing I see with wearing them is some of the hot/cold and wet/dry stuff...
