So have you put in for the 2008 draws yet. Just finished mine up.

After seeing some of the bucks down on the Herny Moutians that will be all that I'm putting in for until I draw. Even if it take another fifteen years.

 south dakota is a great place to find them. they are endagered here in utah anymore. you can still hunt them here but they are hard to find.

Im guessing there are alot of quails here though because on my way home from school i saw a couple quails on a fence!! this true?

there in your part of the state you probably will find more quail. i have never hunted them but know of people who have down there.

Ya i dont like ya got to buy a hunting licence or combo license. There just trying to get more money. Typical dwr :222 BTW when i was trying to look what the hunting license was i couldnt find anything on it. Is it just small game?

Yes it is just the small game permit. I don't mind buying it before applying because I was getting them both before anyway.

$65.00 for license $10 now for each point compared to $5 last year 2points for 2 species( you can only apply for 2 aniamls)+ general deer point and huntign license =$95 bucks a year still way cheaper tahn Wyoming for points and Nevada

 if you put in for a le rifle tag for enough years you eventually acquire a butt load a points. then you switch over to archery and not put in for the pahvant your chances look pretty dang good. and yes the rumor is that i have a mercinary that is going to help me put a big ole boy down on the ground.

Muleymadness, looks like you put in for just a bonus point? What unit is the Gorge? Anyway, I was just curious about Pine Valley because I'd like to go look at some sheep and get some pics. I've been out there twice and haven't seen anything yet. Any suggestions on where to look? Went out last Saturday and did see 8 bucks though!

Virgin River Gorge, that is were the Desert Sheep Tag is. Yes just a bonus point is all I got.

Never seen sheep on Pine Valley, do they exist up there?

Okay, we're talking about the same unit. It's just listed as the "Pine Valley, Virgin River" unit in the proc. There are not any sheep on Pine Valley. I've been going down the old highway towards Beaver Dam, AZ and taking the dirt road back to the east (before the border). Are most of the sheep over towards to gorge? Are there any on the south end of the Beaver Dam Mountains?

LE Elk Bonus Point....after spending $65 for a license I won't use. :>/

That's $75 for a bonus point...OUCH!

But the good news is that will give me 9 points. Not sure if that will ever be worth much as the maz points keep going up.
