Utah General Deer hunt success

Alright we have been deer hunting the general hunt now for almost a day. Just wondering who out there found success. As for me and my brother that had tags the only deer was saw was a dead 2 point on the front of a jeep coming down the canyon. It was a wet, rainy, sleet, snowy day. Hopefully it will save a few deer. I only heard 4 shots all morning.

I let a lot of deer go this year during my Muzzleloader hunt. Couldn't find the one I wanted to take. I'm like you though, I hope a lot make it through the season for next year.

Im with you guys. I dont plan on killing a deer (in the next two days) inless its a pig... or really goofy. My buddy killed a 2 point this morning, the left antler was 11 inches tall and the right was 21" tall, AND in full velvet, and no nutsack on this bad boy.

For me the hunt was a cold snowy rainy weekend. Opening morning I had a few good bucks I wanted to go after but the weather rolled in, the clouds came with it along with snow and I could maybe only see 50 feet. At about 9 or so I got the snow and it didnt let up. The worst part was the clouds because I couldnt see anything. Nothing changed for the next 36 hrs and I had to be back to work on Monday. I only heard a few shots as well Saturday morning before the weather hit.

We did great, concidering the bad weather. We got a 3rd big buck out of the same drainage as the two we got on the muzzy hunt. This time, it's (Johnyutah5) who has the big smile on his face. :) The cool thing is that I have video of all three bucks in the velvet during the archery hunt. Pictures and story soon to come.
