Hello to all
I am trying to plan a cow elk hunt and had a few questions.
1. Where would be a good place to hunt for a Out of State Hunter
2. Where is most of the Public land

I live on the Wasatch front and I don't think that you can go wrong with any of the Wasatch zones for cow elk. With the tags alotted for out of staters, the tags are pretty much of a gimme. As far as public land, utah is one of the best states around. Again any of the Wasatch tags have plenty of public land and even more elk. My favorite tags are the Wasatch Timpanogos, Springville, and Avintaquin. Any of these are easy, fun hunts for cows.....oh and all the 300+ bulls and huge bucks that you get to look at are a plus too.----shooter

I agree. The Manti areas are also good.
