Done. Will you be posting the survey results before/after presenting this to the DWR?

I actually feel that this was a better survey then that of the DWR's. We weren't forced to answer a question even if we didn't agree with any of the answers, and we we're also given the chance to share our opinion on many questions instead of a simple yes or no. Good job and good luck with this!

Thanks guys,

Pro, either way. But I suppose before, unless this would cause issues...can't think of why it would though?

Cool, I just thought if possible, it would be great to present to the deer committee BEFORE they make their final recommendations for the new deer plan that will be presented at the November RAC's. Well done survey, I agree it is better put together than the one the DWR has/had. 10sign:

Hi Brett,

I took the survey and I have a few questions for you. (and anyone else who wants to reply)

This will be only the 5th season I have been hunting big game in Utah although I've been here 14 yrs. Coming her from PA I thought the regulations were a little strange, shorter general seasons, limited entry areas, regional draws for rifle seasons, earlier season. But all in all I think that the management of the deer is good. Am I wrong to think this? Are the deer numbers down or are the trophy deer numbers down? In PA I think the deer have been mismanaged away and now what were some of the best deer areas in the state have very little deer. I think things have begun to change since I left. I have hunted 3 seasons with a rife and a few with a bow and I'm going with the bow from here on out. I have yet to take an animal. Not from lack of deer or lack of trying. I'll blame it on a learning curve and self teaching. It seems that many people on this site are unhappy with the way things are here in Utah. Why is this? What are some things people feel should change? I know hunter pressure is a big issue but what can you do in a state that is growing like Utah is? Its the opposite of most states where hunter numbers are falling. Just wonder what you think. Anyway, I love the site and cant wait for this season. Thanks!

I think things are not so bad here in Utah. The deer numbers are down all over the state. I think the buck to doe ratio in most areas is good and there are plenty of big bucks out there to be had. They just out smart most people. I do believe it would be better to have smaller units, so they can be managed better.

We have had 149 people take the survey, THANKS TO ALL YOU HAVE. I'd like to see/get tons more to take it.

If we could get 1000 people, we could make some serious noise and show some great data.

PLEASE share with all your hunting buddies!

Good survey. I would like to see more questions about mandatory reporting since that's something that is being talked about this year.
