Utah Scouting Trip (pics)

Here's a few photos of some critters and scenery on a recent scouting trip I took to central Utah. I saw a few nice bucks but forgot to put down the binoculars and pick up the camera on those. :x I did manage to take a far photo of two smaller bucks on a sage skyline and crawled up on a doe for a close photo. The antelope was fairly close also. Hope you enjoy.

Brett,

The family and I were able to get away for about 5 days. It was sure nice to get out of the 100+ degree weather for a few days.

Hay Bohunter, would you believe My hunting buddy just named his baby boy Bo Hunter Tenney, yes thats his given name. While you were out scouting did you happen to or have you in the past ever looked over the pine valley area in south western Utah. I drew a gereral tag in that part of the state and have heard that area holds some good bucks. I'm an arizona boy and hunt the Kiabab every chance I get. Looking forward to heading up to your state. What can you tell me? Or should I say what will you tell me?

AZ Big Bucks:

Sorry never made it over to Pine Valley. That's pretty neat that someone would name their child after ME.....

You definately don't want to come to my state and hunt, as I'm from California and we only have trophy blacktails. I do however go on looooonnng scouting trips don't I?

I hunt your state A LOT! Usually in both archery seasons. Good luck on your Utah hunt and post some questions around here. Someone may be able to direct you in some promising areas.

Thanks for the ol' photos. Ya got the doe sticking her tongue out at ya!
Good to see some bucks to get me exited for the hunt.

AZ Big Bucks:

I have hunted near the Pine Valley area. I have seen a couple of bucks, but nothing huge. A good for point or two usually gets taken every year up there, but quite a few people hunt it.

as always, nice photos! great to hear from you, i have been absent for the most part for a couple weeks, stopped in the other day to tell everyone that i was about 50% successful on the drawings here in wyoming this year. i will be hunting deer on area 87 which is the seminoe and ferris mountain range this year. it has produced some big deer in the past and the real good thing is they only allow about 150 tags for a pretty big area so the pressure will not be as great as most wyoming is use too. plus my dad was successful 100% on his drawing. elk, deer, and speed goats, so all in all it will be a busy year. he wants me to do some bugling for him during the elk hunt and he drew the same area for deer and a pretty good area for speed goats.
