i dont think the proc would have anything but illlook real quicknow im curious

well in the proc it says word for word:
" "Buck Deer " means a deer with antlers longer than 5 inches"
it also states a tag holder can shoot one buck deer it doesnt say anything about mule deer or anything so yeah you would be safe shooting a wt i would think and if they tried to cause any ruckus from it i think you could fight it easily but to me it sounds like it wouldnt be a problem cause it says one buck deer
so shoot away bb

OX is right.

You would be just fine if you shot a whitetail. There have allready been some killed in this state. One of the first even made the news about seven of eight years ago. If I remember right.

We have or HAD about 12 last year in Oakley,
a DWR officer said they have been plucking them off, they dont want them to over populate the mulies. They have been keeping it "Hush Hush".

Can they interbreed with mulies?
Anyone know..

show -me-- have you ever killed a good bull?? love to see some pics. and if you think there always non- challenging you should try going for a hunt somewhere else that it isn't a 10 yr wait with bulls screeming around every corner. I've been on 100's of elk hunts and yes in some areas it seems just too easy, and you think your the best elk hunter out in the woods, then i've gone to other areas and hunted where you think you must be completely elk ignorent! i hunt alot in oregon general season archery, the bull to cow ratio is around 15bulls 2-100 cows, pitifull, try hunting here and i bet you would think it wasn't a challenge. on the flip side-- i have a buddy who gets to hunt some private ground for deer, amazingly he shoots a 160+ buck every year opening morning from the same spot, one grossed 193 and netted 187. you know what he think about mule deer hunting???? their stupid animals of habit and are not even a challenge to hunt. funny huh?? it's all about where you hunt the animal! killing a monster bull or buck in an area that is completly limited/ once in a life time hunt is great but not amzingly impressive, your supposed to kill that animal, killing a monster bull or buck in an area that is not supposed to be that great, thats impressive!

:-k I hunt deer with a bow now i dont care where your from that is tough let alone hunting them on public property general season!!! I have killed 2 elk in my life and one was a cow!!!!!! now i see no reason getting butt hurt over something that you like and i dont!!! have your buddy go out on the strip and we will see what he thinks about deer!!! NOW I RESPECT THE FACT THAT YOU LIKE ELK CONGRATS I AM HAPPY FOR YOU =D> I have had a 400 bull 15 yards away from me and i wont lie it was a rush and i would have loved to flip an aarow into it :arrow !!! but on the other hand if that was a 190 buck it would have had the same effect on me!!!! ANd you are right my exsperience with elk have been easy!!! now i am not saying that i am ~~>> by all means i love deer and i will keep my (X) about them elk that i would love to :222 everyone i see!!!!!!!!!!

ah but dont get me wrong i love them muleys as well too! i just dont think that either animalis stupid and easy to hunt when, like your saying as well, it is just a general hunt. both animals, if you want to kill a trophy, you have to put in your time a hunt your butt off. and one more thing----- i would love to join in on a strip archery deer hunt, if i could get some info on what tag to get, if its draw or not, time of year, and such, i would be there :thumb :thumb :thumb
