The show was great! I spent all day there yesterday and most of this morning. I could have spent another week there if they'd let me!

The Fishing side of the show was just as impressive and I spent a lot of time in there too. I also spent a LOT of money there buying various "toys"...thank god my wife wasn't with me!

When did they start having the Expo in Monroe? I remember going to the Kingdome when it was still standing. Got a good buddy who lives in Monroe so I'm sure he was there. I've never seen an elk mounted the way that OR elk is, I really like it! All the bucks look great! Thanks for the pics, AGC.

ABert, I also remember when it was in the Kingdome but I transfered shortly after they blew it up. This is the first time I've had the opportunity to attend since spending the last few years stationed in CA and overseas. According to thier web page this was the first year at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe.

Killerbee, I was gonna drop ya a line and ask if it was on this tour. There were a lot of big bulls there. I'll dig through the rest of the pics and see if I can spot it.

Hawk great photos, I was there wed night and all day saturday, I would have liked to have met ya. That blacktail that took 2nd place (red ribbon) was one I caped for a sky valley Taxidermy 2 falls ago I think I might even have some pics some where.

IRONHEAD, if ya got some pics of that blacktail somewhere I'd like to see 'em.

Too bad we didn't run across eachother there. I should have dropped ya a line to see if you were going to attend.

Of course, with the number of folks that were there we could have bumped into eachother 20 times and never knew it.

I was wearing my MuleyMadness T-Shirt on Saturday and had a number of folks stop me and ask about the site. Naturally I pitched the heck out of it.

I think this was actually the 4th year of the Monroe show, It wasn't as good last year. This was the best year to date. If I would have seen the Muley Madness shirt I would have stopped you for sure. There is always next year. By the way that 218" typical was a GIANT. I also saw a buck in there that was owned by a guy that got busted for poaching in ID just a while back. Will have to meet up next year. I could have taken ya fishing the next day for some iron . I caught both of these on sunday.

IRONHEAD, Yea I posted a pic of that buck too on the thread concerning the poacher (thread entitled "Another poacher busted...keep it up"). I never noticed the name on the plaque until after I was lookin' at the pics I wanted to post on this site.

Some great lookin' steelies too!!! Well, you sinched it then, next year I'll make sure to hook up with ya so we can hit the steelhead afterward!!!

Is that first one a steelie? Looks to be a king to me, but it has been almost ten years since I've been up there.

Do they still have the show in Payullup (I know the spelling is way off but you know where I me)? I always thought that was a much better show than what they used to have in the Kingdome. Forget what the show in P. was called though.
