Kaboom, it would all depend on what kind of mulie your lookin' for. If your lookin' for any legal buck then there are plenty of places to do your huntin'. If your lookin' for a "wallhanger" then you need to leave the low-lands and hit the high country. A perfect example is the buck that Kaibab Kid posted here in this same forum. He hit the high country in the North Cascades and took home a beautiful buck (As he stated in his post, it may be a Mulie-Blacktail cross but a GREAT buck non-the-less). My son and I hunt the higher country in the SE portion of the state and saw a couple "legal" bucks this year (3X3), blew stalks on two 4X4's (My son's first hunt and he is still learnin' how to put on a stalk without making a lot of noise...LOL) and watched another 5X5 from afar but did not put a stalk on him. The country is VERY rough and we hike/pack back into the country where a lot of folks won't go/ATV's CAN'T go. In fact, we hunted public land the whole time, saw PLENTY of deer and elk, and only saw two other hunters in 6 days of hunting. Difficult country, hard hiking, but well worth the time and effort.

Thanks AGCHAWK, like I said any advise is helpful. Where abouts in the SE. did you go? I went to Entiat for the opener. Saw a few does, and saw a couple of leagle bucks taken also. Just not by me!
