Watch your step

I was hiking down a steep grade, when my foot slid into a burned out "sharp" tree root. Luckly it only peeled the skin and bruised the tendon on the arch of my foot. It was hurting while hiking out but it could of been much worse.

ouch! I'm glad it wasn't worse. We take little things fore granted all of the time. Thanks for sharing this.

What stinks is the boots are only about two weeks old. Any ideas on how to patch the hole?

I have seen them patched with some sort of rubber compound, I don't recall the name. It seemed to work pretty good.

Here in Az everything is sharp. Some of the plants like Agave would kill you if you fell on them. I'm sure the spikes would go through you. Glad you're okay. I wear Danner military issue Acadia Desert boots. They are heavy but so far nothing goes through them not even cholla. Yep, shoe goo will fix them. It'll fix anything but the crack of dawn or a broken heart actually. :)) Wally World is where I get mine.

Ouch!!!! Kind of reminds me of Black Palm down in Panama. That stuff would penitrate armor I think.
