YEP Freezeout sucks! lol Only got to hunt till 9:10 am opening morning, had or 3 man limit and had to go hunt geese in a field, what a bummer! #-o Yes there were lots of people, yes there were some sky busters,BUT the bird numbers were INSANE!The hunters kept the birds moving and there was a constant flight,3 guys trying to spot birds from our boat wasnt enough, they kept shooting through the toolies and sneaking in.Tons of mallards, spoons, teal, widgeon, ect, there are already SNOW GEESE on the lake!Talked the head Bio on the way out,he was seeing more birds this year than he had in the last 10,said he had never seen snows come in this early and the can numbers were very good(we didnt kill any),he also gave me some good tips on how to kill a neck banded swan,he got one last year.Yesterday morning we hunted private ponds and came within 6 birds of our limit, finished that off with an evening hunt,a goose to boot and then the coons charged the blind,I got 5 with 4 shots,my first coon double to date, the sharpys and huns on his place owe me big time! :thumb

when you were talking about the "coons" charging the blind, i couldn't figure out what duck you were calling a coon. then i looked at the pictures to see you were talking about racoons:)
are opener is this weekend, i cant wait!
All of the slow days seem to be wiped out when you have a day like that. Great job on the coons also.
