We got it done this year “Tagged Out”
Buckmaster
10/24/11 7:40pm
We found this buck bedded about 2 miles away, I put the sneak on and was able to get to within 25 yards. Once there the wait was for about 1hr before he stood up and started to move.
I watched him as he slowly moved to my right, never seeing anything but the tips of his rack as he slipped through the thick brush, then at 35 yards he cleared the oak brush and stepped into my shooting lane. What a great feeling it is to already be at full draw and having that pin settle in behind the front shoulder. He was a slight quartering away and the arrow placement was perfect. The buck rodeo kicked and ran for about 50 yards and piled up. FMJ’s and G-5 strikers are a match made in heaven.
Wow… a double P&Y this year!! Bull Elk on 9-3-11 and this great buck on 10-9-11. Both Public land & DIY!
Again my son Cody was there to share the memories and excitement; he was watching the whole time from about 1 ½ miles away threw the scope.
Cody thanks again for being the best hunting partner there is! Now we need to get you tagged out so we can have a double/double in 2011 :thumb
