Wearing out my boots

I barely have 100 miles on my new boots and I'm already busting seams and loosing chunks of tread. At least I'm destroying them with a smile on my face. I was able to take two full-day hikes over the past two weekends and 3 evening hikes last week and have been adding to my numbers. I got my first spike of the year, my first elk of the year (cruddy old 5 point) and my first hanger. I seem to be finding a lot of 3 points and have picked up 5 sets, 3 of them side-by-side. Looking forward to getting after some elk sheds soon and hopefully my first turkey.
