Do you guys have ???
I have a Nikon Cool pix 4300 4 mp and just bought a Nikon D40 6 mp.
I wish I had the $$$ to get a a 8 or 10 mp but no such luck. My new Nikon does a great job. Here is a photo I took Saturday morning at Cutler Marsh with the Wellsville mountain in the back. I printed this in a 8.5 x 11 and took it out side in the sun and you could not see any dots on the print. I had to use a magnifying lens to see the dots. I was very impressed with my camera and printer. :thumb

This was shot with the K-10
And this the FZ
I could see a big difference just going from my 4 to a 6 mp.
The prints from my 4 mp are a little grainy and in the sun they showed up like a sore thumb !! I thought it might be my printer But after printing a photo from my new 6mp I realized it was the camera. :>/ I think the next time I go out I will take both cameras and take a photo with each and see what happens. :-k
What lens did you use ???
The pic taken with the Fz was about 20 yards.
The pic taken with the K-10 was a 100-300 lens (Sigma), and I was about 35 yards away.
BTW.............. Very cool picture you took UtahRob!
Also when you go out and shoot with both your cameras make sure to shoot off a tripod so they both are really the same picture any movement will compromise the clarity, even just pushing your Shutter button. but you should see a little difference in the two but not a whole lot.I had a Coolpix 4300 as well a few years ago and I think it took better pics than my Coolpix 7900 and it was 7 meg. That 4300 really takes good pics for a older 4 camera.
This was taken with my 4300 in 2004 and probably 80yds.
so you can really see the difference in how good a picture will be, using any camera the closer you get the better the pic will be, I could not get very close to these Goats so they are not great.
awesome pictures! That deer was TACk sharp.
Love the photo of the marsh. Okay Okay you don't have to twist my arm, I will come duck hunting with you next year, you don't need to ask again. :)
But being a rookie duck hunter it may be you showing me how !! :thumb
So I just Ordered a canon EOS 20 D 8.2 mp. I have always been a Nikon guy but after having to return the last two Nikon's I have decided to try canon. There is a web site that I have been looking at for the last week that shows reviews on camera. I thinks you might enjoy it. It also has a forum for just about every camera . Here it is !!
