What did yall get?

Well I am curious to hear what everyone else got this year to enhance their hunting experiences and help them bag that big buck/bull. I got my pair of Danner Elk Hunter boots :thumb that I have been eye balling for year, plus a set of dutch ovens so I don't have to borrow my dad's anymore when I bring some of my friends from the marine corps home to see what hunting is all about. What about the rest of you what did yall get?

Weren't there a couple guys here who saw a shotgun nestled warmly under the tree? How did that turn out?

Got my 870 Super Mag as well. Still have yet to shoot it though. Hopefully I can get out after some ducks in the morning. As far as boots and bibs... those were all a couple of years ago. However I do love my Carhart insulated bibs, and I wouldnt trade my Danners for anything. I love danner boots.

Got some gift cards. Folks say it's hard to buy for old people who seem to have everything they want. lol Had a lovely brunch with family and friends too.

I got my Dad, In-laws, brother-in-law, daughter, son-in-law and grandbabies (3 of them) at the house for the holidays. Nothing better in my mind than family.

That's for sure ABert. Family is what it's all about, or what it should be all about anyways. Yeah it's nice to wake up Christmas morning and unwrap a brand new shotgun, but for me the best Christmas present of all was being able to spend it with Family. Especially my Dad. Knowing this could very well be the last Christmas we spend together was/is a very very hard thing to deal with. So many people have lost the true meaning of Christmas and are really missing out.

I agree that the best part of the holidays is spending it with family. This year was another year I had to spend the holidays away from home so I spent it with my second family here. It's not quite the same as being home but I have a lot of great friends to enjoy the time with. I will tell yall if you want to see somthing interesting you should watch 5 single marines try and fix Christmas dinner lol

Nah we actually didn't do too bad making Christmas dinner. It was just a little bit hectic and wild while we were making it. Once it was all said and done it turned out pretty good. :thumb

I finally got a tag. I live in Utah but have put in for Colorado twice and never drawn. I also put in for deer in utah and didn't draw that. I had to buy a spike tag so i could actually hunt.

Got a Bushnell Backtrack. Maybe I'll stay a little more on course with it. I tend to end up a few hundred yards away from where I intended to be.
