Well most all of these 400 class bulls that your probably always hearin about are taken on Limeted Entry hunts. These are hunts where say a million poeple put in a drawing for the tags and only 1,000 get chosen for the tag (not realistic numbers but you get the point). These Limeted Entry units take an average of 10 or more years to draw, and thats on the lucky side for some of the tags. some people wait 15 years for a tag.

We do have tags that you can buy Over The Counter or that you can draw a lot easier, but the trophy quality isn't near the same. I'm gonna be scouting out a new area pretty soon and will let ya know what I see and how things go, If you'd settle for a 250-300 class bull (300 tops if where lucky. I'm no master elk hunter, 300 is accualy probably a bit high) then i'll see what I can do in hookin you up on a hunt. Of course you gotta let me hunt up in Alberta though, haha :thumb

well the best thing to do is start putting in for a limited entry unit every year. you can put in in i think late jan to mid feb
some of the top units are southwest desert, monroe, beaver, pahvant, etc well most all of the le's are pretty dang good and you have chances at 400 class bulls. probably find the utah dwr site and find the # and call and find out what you would need to do to hunt here.
