I can't tell you about the biggest, but the shot I'm proudest of is one of nearly 600yrds. using my .270win with my hand loads (130gr Sierra BTSP, over 59grs. of H4831). I layed down over a big boulder, mostly level ground. I'm pretty good at judging distance and counted off the 100yds at a time to gain a good guess at the distance. Maybe just luck, but I fugured the width of the deers body and held 1 1/2 body widths above his back. I squeezed the trigger. When I looked through the Leupold I couldn't find the deer, as it was, I was barely put antlers on the deer in the first place. After pacing it off to the spot, the deer was laying in a large pool of blood. The bullet only had enough energy to hit the shoulder blade and stop, it put a large hole in the shoulder. The animal hadn't died but layed down. I had to put another round in him. Lucky yes, too far, probably. But I knew my rifle and I enjoyed the meat.

Here's mine, 5x6 24'' muley...sorry about the pic quality..I dont have a scanner so I took a picture of the polaroid :) Not the biggest, grossed 148, netted 141 I think, but had a huge body...27'' neck. This was killed three years ago when I was 15. This was probably one of my favorite years as it was the first year I really got to hunt on my own. I somehow managed to get my first muzzleloader kill, a cow elk, and this muley by myself. I hope to have him mounted this year.

Here's mine (buck on the right) from the highcountry of Wyoming. Shot him in 2003 after watching him all morning on opening day. We were waiting for one with a seven inch dropper that we had seen in the basin. At 11:30 I couldn't take it any longer and had to sneak in and try my luck. I blasted this one around 12:00 or so and Torch killed his best buck in the basin to the south of mine 10 minutes later after I sent a bachelor herd of bucks his way. The bucks roused his buck out of the pines and he stuck around long enough for Torch to let the air out of him.

this is my 2003 buck,I shot this deer early in the morning in a backcountry burn area and didnt make it out to the trailhead till midnight,those damn game carts are more of a pain in the ass than anything,its bone out and pack frame from now on.

got lucky on this one....2006 Sonora 212 gross, 204 6/8 net B&C is 35 1/8" wide outside, 31 1/8" inside. Right place at the right time.

 Well, don't I feel like an idiot... When I posted the picture I was thinking something didn't look right... I'll see if I have any others that show a decent comparison. If not, I'll have to take some of just the rack and the shed.

I'm feeling that last buck. :)) Neighbor got a monster this year at his cabin in williams lake. 27" 8 by 6 non typical. My largest buck, 24" 4 by 4, shot last day of the season in november in 3 feet of snow. that was one cold buck when we went and loaded him into the truck the next morning
