What is your favorite gun?

My favriot right now is the 300 ultra mag. I used to use a 22-250 and It was awesome! just did not have the punch to knock one down right away! Now I take the punch with the ultra mag

I personally find my 270 win. just as effective as the Rem. 7 mag. The deer are just as dead without all of the recoil and muzzle blast. Shells are readily available for both. :2

I hunt with a bow most of the time. But if I draw one of my limited entry tags then I've got a 7MM Ultra Mag. that I'm going to have to learn how to love. ???

I keep it simple, 270 win, 130 grain Fed Prem ammo. My last two Elk have been 1 shot kills. I hunted elk for years with a 300 win mag. After a shoulder injury I took up the 270 for all big game that I hunt. Works good so far. Its all in how the shot is placed, as you all know.

If we are talking favorite big game hunting gun I have to go with .270 Win. I've got a Rem 700 and Win Mod 70 in .270. They do the job as long as you put the bullet where it needs to be. Numerous elk and deer over the years has proven that. Now, as far as my favorite gun to shoot just for the pure enjoyment of shooting is my Ruger 10/22. If you haven't shot a .22 rifle in a while I'd suggest you do it. They are a blast and require all the skill of center fire rifles to hit your target, but no recoil and very inexspensive to shoot. Try it, you just might like it. Brings back memories of when I was a bit younger and that .22 was my hunting gun.

I don't have a favorite gun but, my favorite cartridge would be something between a 25 cal and a 284 cal. Now if I had to live with just one for a whole week, I pick the 280 Rem. And I don't even have one right now. Hum,, :-k , sound's like I need a fix. You guy's and your stupid question's may have just cost me a bunch of money belonging to my ex-wife! :)

Of all the rifles I have, my absolute fav is a Winchester model 70 supergrade in 7mm rem mag with the boss system. Spitting out 160 Nosler partitions, this baby is a lazer. Don't have any use for any of my Weatherbys anymore.

My "go to" gun is a Winchester Model 70 Featherweight 30-06 topped with a Leupold 2.5 X 8 scope. Love that rifle. But for the thick stuff found on the westside of the Cascades I am really partial to my Marlin 1895 Guide Gun 45-70 topped with an iron XS Systems ghost ring sight.

I use a Remington 700 in 7mm Mag with 150 grain bullets. It works well on whitetail mulies or elk. I bought my wife one also and had muzzle brakes installed. She has killed three elk with her rifle and one large mule deer.
