What tags do you have????

Just wondering what tags everyone has this year. I'll start us out. What weapon? What unit?

Me and a buddy are muley hunting New Mexico Unit 6A&C muzzleloader Oct. 10-14....first time into this country, so I'm a little nervous on how it may turn out. Either way, we'll work our a$$es off and have a good time!!

Possibly taking a trip up to the Colorado high country in September to scout an area I'm hoping to draw....no weapon though.... :>/

My dad is going on a West Texas mule deer hunt (either Nov. 1 or Jan. 1)...hoping to go on that one, but it depends on when me and the wife's little one decides to pop out! :)

The rest of my time will be spent hunting whitetails in the Texas hill country! Best of luck to everyone!

I drew a cow elk tag for unit 591. I believe that I am getting an over the counter bull tag and a bear tag for fathers day. It is gonna be a good year. :thumb =D> [-o<

I've been there my friend. Pretty much did a one day hunt and called it good that year because my daughter was born on October 15th, right before the hunt. Sweet timing!!!! Definitely worth it however, she's the one in my Avatar!

Bowtech, ours is due Dec. 9th, so I'm going to try to get my hunting in at the beginning of the season. The West Texas hunt is about 9 hours from home, so I'm probably not going to make that one....oh well, like you said, I'm sure it's worth it! Pretty sure the wife won't let me go after our little one comes out, but at the same time, I'm pretty sure that I'll want to spend all my time there with the two of them as well! Maybe it'll be the best year ever, a booner and a baby!! 10sign:

I have southern deer tag but my dad drew a rifle tag for panguitch for the early hunt. Pretty excited about it. Just need to get up there and start looking. It's been so long since i have hunted up there i don't know where to start! ha ha

I have General Elk for Montana
General deer for Montana
Drawing for special permits are in mid July. I applied with 5 bonus points for Elk in area 622-20. [maybe the toughest Elk draw in Montana]

Maybe I just have a circle of lucky friends this year because it seems like a lot of folks drew out for special hunts. I scored a Utah Limited Entry archery elk tag, my friend scored a Once in a Lifetime Moose tag, and another friend also scored on a Limited Elk Rifle tag. Then there seems to be a lot of lucky drawers on this forum. Can't wait!!! And the thing is that I am usually perfectly content with general tags, this is just the cream on top of the cake! I hope everyone scores, good luck!

General season buck tag and waiting to see if I drew out for Cow tag. I am more excited because to of my Marine buddys (one from SE Texas and the other from PA) drew out for general season buck tags too. It will be their first time out west and I can't wait to get them out there to God's country. :thumb

I just have a Dedicated Southern tag along with a general archery elk tag. I will however be helping out on a Monroe early rifle tag and a Late Dutton tag! Can't wait for those hunts.

Drew Mule deer tag in Nv. Units 221-223.
New Mexico Unit 15 ML tag.
Indeed, this year, luck was looking down upon me. And the topper is my youngest brother drew "A Once in a Lifetime" Elk tag in North Dakota right outside Teddy Roosevelt N.P. I always say it is better to be lucky than good any day!

NOTHING AGAIN! I am beyond mad at this point. Nothing last year, nothing this year. I am going to have to buy beef to eat. This sucks! Get a point system already! Idaho draw sucks!
I dont know of anywhere good enough to hunt an OTC elk tag. I've always hunted only one unit and its draw only. How is it that none of us drew a tag. And the unit we put in for is easy to draw.. at least for some people I guess.

General seasons in Idaho= maybe one spike or two point Deer. No elk. No antelope. :>/ #-o ](*,)

Shed Freak - Are you a rifle hunter? I switched over to archery three years ago for several reasons and one of them was just that. It seemed to be getting a little sticky to be able to draw for our SE Utah Area tag every year for rifle. However, in Utah an archery tag is basically a for sure thing. If that's the case, it may be time to think about alternatives my friend.

Yep, I'm a rifle hunter. I did just buy me a Martin Savannah though. Now to get me some broad heads to shoot a critter with. #-o

I hear ya. I'm seriously thinking about just archery hunting from now on. If I don't draw rifle.. I will just do archery instead. Good Idea!! 10sign:

I dont know of anywhere good enough to hunt an OTC elk tag. the bulls are there, ive hunted an otc unit a few times, and killed bulls

General seasons in Idaho= maybe one spike or two point Deer, ive hunted for the last 3-4 yrs, i have not had a problem finding 4pts in the 18-22in range :>/ #-o ](*,)
