Where to bowhunt mule deer in Utah on public land?

What part of the state do you live in? You need to decide on which region you want to hunt in. I live in southern Utah and bowhunted here last year. Saw a few smaller bucks, nothing I was interested in. Tons of bowhunters in the southern region though.

im not a bowhunter myself but i have lived in utah for my whole life. My friends usually get success in the Uintahs or on top of monte cristo near lightning ridge. As for the elk hunting it can be good but for the average hunter like me it is hard to spot one of those bulls last year all i spotted was a 6 by 7 herd bull but the only problem he was out a good thousand yards I go on the general rifle hunts so i dont quite know all that much for the bowhunter but u might like to look up the region an decide which place you want to hunt

I live in Cedar Hills, which I think is in the Central Region. Are there any decent places to hunt in that region?

smbowhunter, You are from my neck of the woods. I actually know the area very well and would be happy to send you in the right direction. I grew up in alpine and have hunted these "hills" my entire life. Bow hunting is extremely tuff for me. I finally killed my first bow buck last year. That was the second year of hunting with a bow. I have found several nice bucks in central utah. Finding them is one thing and getting close enough to kill one is another. shoot me an email at quake2zipper@yahoo.com and I will give you some info.

i dont know too much about the central region but there is some good elk hunting down there i have heard

also, the bow hunt in utah is state wide and you wont have to draw to get the tag or pick a unit (central, southern..ect) (im to lazy to sign in)
