winter casulties

i never made it back up on the mountain to get my camera off is there any way that it is going to make it through the winter. I keep thinking (hoping) it will because it is on a tree and the snow should create a well around the tree and not be right on top of it. What do you think?

If you can find out if the manufacture gives a operating temp to not go below. That to me would be the bigest thing to worry about is parts freezing and breaking. Most cameras are made to keep water out so even if the snow gets deeper than where you camera is set up it should be fine. Water still flows down even if it's through snow so your camera should be able to keep it's self dry.

Hope all works oput ok.

Where did you lose it? I need a new one. :)

All kidding aside, must be far away...if it was me I'd be up the mountain to retrieve it.

Thats funny I had just baught a brand new tree stand and got to use it one time the next day I couldnt get even close to it because of the snow. It drove me nuts so My wife and I Went on a nice long winter walk through about 3 feet of snow and I got it. Theirs just something about leaving my hunting eguipment in the woods all winter that I cant handle. Go get that sucker man.

The only camera I actually bought did have a temperature warning on it. Can't remember exactly what it is, but if it's to cold it may ruin it?
